New to photography, after lots of reading on the forums here, this is my first photo shoot with my 2 week old daughter. I still have tons to learn, so critiques are definitely welcome.

I have natural light coming in from camera left, and had a speedlite camera right to fill in shadows (even though it kind of backfired and created a shadow on her chin). She got fussy before I could make many changes, so this is what I got.

I did some tweaking in LR4 to bring up the colors, but I'm thinking I may have overcooked them a little (I'm totally new to PP work).

Thank you! What kind of PP needs to be done on the backgrounds? I'm pretty new to all this, so thanks.

Yeah I think the edits are a bit overcooked. The shadow by the chin is a bit distracting too, otherwise I like them. Cute baby too!

Thanks for the comments folks, definitely agree with what you're saying about the shadow on the chin and overediting.
