I saw an ad on POTN for what appeared to be a decent set up for continuous lighting. When I went to their site, they had some seriously good pricing (IMO) for small lighting set ups for continuous light sets.
I am looking to expand a little on my home shooting in portrait and baby shots since I have more than one friend with a baby in the last few weeks. But I want to see what others have seen with this vendor.
Any input on this vendor, or even others I should be looking at for lighting? I am also going to be looking for some Yongnuo strobes soon and they seem to have decent prices there as well.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I've used them a couple of times for some cheap radio triggers and light stands. No problems with the transactions, and the products were as described. They sell cheap stuff for a cheap price, but the stuff works.

Their stuff is cheap, built as expected for the price, and works. I have a set of softboxes and continuous lighting (fluorescent) fixtures from them that would never survive being banged around on locations but work perfectly well for my intended use (studio lighting when I do video interviews and the like.)

I like them. It's sorta like Harbor Freight for tools. For general purpose use, they're great for the money.

Bought a couple umbrellas and stands along with some reflectors. No issues with my order and the umbreallas and stands wer amazingly high quality for the price I paid. I was expecting a something pretty cheap but the work well.

Cheap chinese stuff, but it works like others have said. I have stands, brackets and triggers from them. Have stood up to all my abuse so far.

Softboxes, cheap (priced) triggers, bare bones basic, reflectors, I've been happy with it all, exactly what was described product wise and never had problems with any of their stuff. I think they are probably a 'watch exactly what you buy from them' type of place, the simple stuff is no problem, anything you are expecting to be high level is probably worth a second look to insure quality. I've been happy with them.

Sounds like this amateur photo guy is going to be doing some shopping over the weekend. Thanks to everyone that responded. I like the Harbor Freight reference. I actually purchase a lot of my tools from them, and as mentioned, for the average Joe it works. If I were to ever take my photography to a higher level I would definitely look to buy higher quality items, but for what I want to do now, I think Cowboy is a good place to start.

I dont buy from harbor freight because I make a living with my tools.
I do buy from cowboy and will buy again, because I don't make a living from photography.

I've bought some cheap lightstands from them, also an umbrella bracket - which I purposely over-tightened it to see if it would break (and it did). The lightstands were pretty dec for the price.
