Hello to All,

Is there anyone out there using Flash to shoot Acrobatics & Tumbling, gymnastics, etc. instead of using iso 3200, 6400 or 128k.? F 1.8 ss 500, etc.

The gym where I shoot has got me max'd out in settings and still not getting the best results.. with my 1dmkiii w/ 85 1.8 lens

Could flash / OCF with a two AB units help or hurt the players in action?

Thanks for your 'IMHO'

Joe

If this is just small kids tumbling or something then I suppose you could strobe it. For sure this would be a good approach for low noise and good light.

If you are talking about gymnastics specifically, then all forms of flash are specifically disallowed in sanctioned events.

Typically not allowed for safety considerations of the participants.
