I really want to try out my new 10-20mm on this trip and I don't have a CP for it. I guess I'll just have to wing it and see what I get!

Is that open in the winter? For some reason I thought they closed it at the top during the winter...

The Kank is open in the Winter, though if it is snowing, it's an interesting ride. Bear Notch road is what gets closed down in the Winter. It connects the Kank to Bartlett.

Having driven both ways, 93, 3, to 302 is easier, flatter, etc. Conway will suck if you don't know the back roads, but for the time you guys are going up, shouldn't matter too much.

What size filter does it take Becca?

It takes a 77mm. If someone has one I could borrow, that would be great! I plan on getting one, but I've already spent my photography budget for the next couple of months!

^^ 82mm

Mines a Sigma, not a Canon so maybe that's the difference.

Yeah all 3 of us have 77mm, so you'll be covered. We may have to do some switching... just as long as we have lens pens :)

Thanks! I'm sure that will make a huge difference in the bright snow!

Yeah. I will have my 77 and a cheapo 82 for my new lens (Brendan-Envy), so I wont be using the 77 exclusively. See. . . . . I told you I would stick with you!

I could not find anyone anywhere that had a High Quality 82 in stock. I thought I could get one overnighted from somewhere. . . . but no luck!

I have an 86mm CP, but I don't know if theres some sort of adapter that you could use to fit with your 82. I don't know much about it (it came with my Bigma when I bought it used) but it is a Hoya.

And time to clear the roads before we head up! I wish I could get Monday off, but I don't think that's going to happen. I'll have to process during the Oscars on Sunday night!

You mean function? Or you mean your jobs revolves around the oscars in some way?
