would they let us in before they're open?

I'm going to take a wild guess that because it's an Ice Cream stand with a farm attached, we could show up under the pretense of buying ice cream, and "wander" over to where the sunflowers are, maybe jump a fence and take pics. Don and Brendan have been there before, I haven't, so they probably have a better idea of what goes on there. Either way, go back in this thread to last July and check out the shots they got there!

Yes they have small ropes and gates closed, but Brendan and I just melted into the fields. They were not open but I think that they did not notice us (they were preparing things). That may be a different story if a bunch of people show up and attempt to enter. That said, the fields are on both sides of the road and you could park just out of site and walk in.

I think that it depends on:

How early we can get there. No one will be around real early!
How respectful we are of their property!
If we support their cause. I have a T shirt from last year that shows we bought stuff.
If we don't get caught!

Haw many are thinking of a weekend early trip (note that by the last weekend, the flowers are looking a little "worn"!

We could do the first weekend, but only Sunday the 20th. How early? Probably too early for ice cream, eh? ;)

Either day on the last weekend is good, unless it would conflict with a trip to Hull.

Is there a date for the hull trip? After the 25th would be amazing.

ok guys, 26th or 27th for Hull? If anyone has any preference, state it now...

Hull has a few beautiful ponds/lakes, a nice shoreline, cape feel without going to the cape and a bunch of delapidated houses/shacks and coast guard station...

Sunday night is always better than Saturday, but either one works for me. All day today with Puffins! (i'm beat). Staying in Portland tonight.
