I've had a 5DMK2 for about a year and I love it, while I can't compare it to any of the 1D Series Bodies but I have had the original Canon Digital Rebel (300d I believe) then I went to a 30D, then a 40D which I still have and not the 5DMK2 and I think that they have progressively gotten better and better.

My friend has an original 5D and I think that the new on is better but I wouldn't be sad if I only had one of the originals ones either. I don't do video, don't plan on it / could care less but I know it is the direction that they are all heading so it is what it is.

I think the auto focus with all of my lenses is very fast and accurate, I've had all my other bodies hunt way more then I have with the 5DMK2. I am very happy with the purchase even though I can't call it an investment like all my lenses but still think it is worth it.

Thank Brendan, I would have paid to be part of this! Already, my Grandson from Louisville wants to sign up for a similar activity with this young lady (can't figure out why ) ? ?

Dude, wtf happened to you fingers? i am guessing that since you obviously can't dial my number, something has to be wrong with your fingers.
