Fun morning today with Bren and Kev. Some exciting moments.

"Umm where's the 85L?" !!!

Learned alot from Bren. He's really really good with people!
Nice to meet Kev also, stand up guy.
Hopefully my videos were not all crappy!!

That's Mumbles and Morto!

Crazy driving. Not much lomo look.. Just kind looks like a bad lens on a 5D!
Any suggestions on how to get some good lomo-style shots without film?

Dunno, I picked up my film body after they became yours.

Although I'm looking to get an EOS film body before the foliage starts to change. I'm curious to see what the colors from my 135L combined with some Provia and/or Velvia would look like.

Lol who knows, I may give that away to when and if I get bored with it(depending on which body it is).

Christian.

Very interesting... i'm not sure i dig it, it almost looks like a video capture. I figured there would be more distortion. Interesting nonetheless.

Here are two pics from yesterday. Just wanted to say thanks to you guys as well. Everything went without a hitch for the most part... it was hot and there were no complaints. Tough day to be shooting outside for sure.

It was a little hot I must say, fact that I was wearing the wrong color for a day like that wasn't cutting it. I did had a blast though. Anytime you guys need help on anything, give me a call.

Matt, it was nice meeting you also. Whenever free nights open up, lets do some shooting.

Neill,

All sorts of stuff... too much to list. Literally. I should show you the before to get a sense of what was done. I'll try to post it tonight.

Yeah Matt's a character. On the outside i was calm and just trying to deal. On the inside i was thinking like Arnold Schwartznegger when he's looking at the car salesman dude in True Lies when they are in the corvette. :)

That's the problem, the global stuff is easy. But a lot of localized changes are in here. You can get the color hues very simply.

1. Create a new blank layer on top of your image.
2. Fill with a dark green/blue
3. Set the layer to 'overlay' or play around with different modes.

For instance, on just this image i did;
1. Heavy dodging and burning around certain subjects.
2. Curves adjustments around the lights.
3. Some color overlay globally.
4. Skin smoothing on the model, just to ensure no weird gradient transitions.

So it's not really possible to make an action for all that.

Well I figured there was a lot of local editing, but I was hoping for the overall image that hue/contrast/creepy/antique feeling was done more globally. Its actually quite inspiring to see your work ;)

Now I gotta find a Hasselblad
