I was at Photoplus as well And noticed all the Chinese brands every where...
there was also a pro expo in NYC at the same time which is why some of the big boys like hassalblad and leaf weren't present. And did you see how small Kodak was this year?

Did any of you guys get to any of the after parties or the Bash on the USS Intrepid?

I didn't have time to go to the after party. We had a wedding yesterday, so i left Friday night to drive back to Boston. However, i was at the Hasselblad events as well. I got to shoot with August Bradley, who is freakin' amazing.

They had some pretty cool scenario setups there which i found particularly entertaining.

I think that some sense of smaller booth size was due to the fact that Photo Plus gave away entry to about anyone resulting in a higher attendance. With less overall exhibition square footage, the aisles were congested and many booths were overcrowded.

Yeah, i'll never go again. (I think :) ) but it was fun going once. But yeah, there was certainly too many people for too small a space.

Quick question for you Boston lot, not being savvy to the parking(or lack thereof) situation in the city, how goes it at the Middle East?

I'd rather not take the train if I don't have to, being from the sticks(a few towns South of Scott, lol) I rather my car than mass transit any day of the week.

Thinking of maybe next Thursday downstairs, Anais Mitchell(one of the openers). The folk scene really isn't my thing, but I saw her at a festival over the summer and she was really interesting. Her performance seemed more relaxed and loose instead of a job. After her set she kind of hung out and just talked to anyone that wanted to for a bit, which is certainly different from anything I've ever experienced.
