Yeah, I've watched the model releases like a hawk for the past few weeks. I don't think I'll be investing in Canon flashes if this thing is what they claim it to be. And such a small (projected) price tag too!

I personally expect it to retail for $225 ish. I think the $150 number is much too low.

Either way, you could pick up 2 of these for the price of a 580ex II

Yeah, I've never tried the yunguno brand, but the canon flashes are $$$. The only thing the new YN565 lack is the wireless. But if I'm going to put a trigger/receiver on it, I don't think it matters. For the price, I wouldn't mind trying that out.

I like the manual focus but it can be tough to nail down on a 3" screen. I would need to get a focus follow setup and a hood for the screen to try and be serious with it.

You need a loupe.

In the second video, I think the rain was composited in afterwards, it is too spherical and even looking. It could be real but i think it probably isn't.

It says right underneath it was made with particular. Looked great, they did a good job IMO.

Do any of you have a good contract that you use when you license images to a company that wants to use them for a one time thing (in this case, invitations for an event)? I can't find anything I like online...

It proves, always have your camera with you! The biggest profitable photo I just sold was just a photo I took on a walk around last year. That's why I post mostly everything online w/ my contact info :)

Scott: you can try asking Russ. If not, let me know, a buddy of mine is a license and copyright lawyer. I can ask him for you.
