The grass seriously isn't much greener over here. Each brand has its advantages - kind of a "pick your poison" type thing. There are a few reasons I want to switch. A few of my friends make short films and videos (nothing close to professional) that i want to help with and my camera takes terrible video plus a complete lack of control in video mode. Most of my friends that have cameras have Canon witch makes borrowing lenses and other accessories easier, and finally I just want a sturdier feeling camera body. I've only had mine for a few months and only have 3 lenses so it won't be a hard switch for me. R5 / RF 28-70 F2L / RF 70-200 F2.8L

I use the PCB cybersyncs with great results, and they're pretty cheap. I also have a couple of the newer flex pocketwizards that I use with my speedlites when I want ETTL. 5Dmk2, 40D, 10-22, 50 f/1.8, 24-70 f/2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L MKII, 28-135 USM, 2x 580EX II, lots of other lighting gear.

I have a bunch of their different stands and love all of them. The A4050CS is a serious stand. Make sure to get the wheels for it. They are expensive, but worth it. I have two in the studio, i love them.
