One last one for tonight. The North End, as seen from the Navy Yard in Charlestown. No HDR.

thanks for the HDR tips Scott. Outstanding shot! Was it taken near where Old Ironsides is berthed?

Here's another of the Mother Church plaza. This one was particularly tricky to do the HDR. Those big light globes caused fits, yet I wanted the final image to clearly show the lighting elements inside the globes. This is, effectively, an 9-stop spread, going from -6 EV to +2. I say "effectively" since I had to take the lowest exposure and run that through RSE at -3, -2 and -1 EC. This one was interesting to do.

Nice! That came out perfect!

Yes, at the end of the pier.

Ok, who if anyone from here was in Boston Common Friday (today) at around 4pm shooting the hawk?? I was there and was dragged off by my husband before I could properly talk to the two canon users there.

Great shots by the way!! Very beautiful!

You need a new husband. This one is obviously broken.

btw, the other guy was using N$%^n so it is a good thing you didn't talk to him, they are all evil as you know ;) j/k, he was actually a very nice guy and having a second shooter with me was a great help in spotting the Hawk everytime he moved to a different location.

I was wondering if I'd run into a POTN member up there, but by that time I was sooo tired, we walked from Calumet to the Common and we had been up since 7am. We try to get it all in when we are on vacation.
BTW...hubby not broken, just mad that he does not have a camera also and gets pissy when I stop for a while to shoot. I also feel bad that he has nothing to do...and like I said, we were both exhausted by that time. :)

I heard a rumor that Christmas is coming soon. I can't confirm it though, so you might want to check into it.

Tip #1: It is MUCH easier to share lenses than share a camera.

I heard that rumor too, but with the wedding, we are pretty strapped for $ right now. We just tied the knot in Vegas and we left a little more money out there than we had wanted. ;)
