Still don't have a Smart Phone, and will probably stay that way until the 4G coverage is quite better. Outside of Boston it is quite spotty.

I agree. When I had the EVO, I couldn't get 4G to work in Boston barely at all, even though the coverage was "supposed" to be there. The only city that worked well was Philadelphia. Hopefully next year we will see a "4G" iPhone.

Verizon's 4G should be in all areas where 3G is offered by the end of 2013. I think Boston is entirely covered.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Ok, so who's getting the new iPhone on Friday? I have a 4, but want to upgrade because of the speed increase and the camera, and Siri is looking pretty cool too. Only problem is I am not eligible for the subsidized price, so it's full-price for me.

Who is upgrading? Or getting one?

I'm heeding my fortune cookies advice. :)

^Well played...

So I just found out that a photographer was HIRED to shoot our Marley Coffee kickoff at Union County College in New Jersey. I'm unsure who hired him (us, the college or Marley) but his results can be seen here: NY Camera Guy (external link)

See my original post here: Original

Oh, and what's more? I am being tasked with putting together a slideshow of his photos (right click/download......) for a meeting tonight.

I think I will be getting one. I have the old 3GS and it is about 2.5yrs old. But I don't give a **** about all the other crap, other than it would be nice to skype/email etc. with my family back in the UK, and my brother in Belgium.

That's always a bonus. I like the fact that I can have a decent quality camera in my pocket, without actually carrying another camera. Comes in handy when I'm out with my son and he does something funny, which he manages to do all the time (he's 4). And Siri is looking more attractive by the hour, been reading stories about what people are saying to it, pretty cool and freaky at the same time.

Yeah, it would be decent enough. That is my reason to want it. As for all these fanboys "oh, it isn't an iPhone5" well, they can wait till next year, and then queue up outside for a few days if they want :D

not I.

I've heard that from a lot of people, sad because it isn't a "5".

I wouldn't call myself a "fanboy", but I do love Apple's products a lot. I've been around PC's for over 15 years, and I would recommend a Mac over a PC anyday if funds allowed, and depending on the computing environment. But I am of the belief that you use whatever works best for you, and for a lot of people, the iPhone doesn't work, but that's ok.

^ right. Give it a wee bit of time, and I am sure rivals will catch up and supersede what Apple are doing. But in the meantime, it works well enough for me.

I hope the slideshow is better than the quality of the photos ;)

Did anyone see the 4S benchmarks? They are insane VS the Iphone4.

Wish I could, but I'm running unlocked Iphones. Just got Iphone4's to upgrade from Iphone 3GS's a few months ago for my gf and I.

Still have a 3G leftover that I'm about to put on Ebay tonight. Hoping to still make atleast 120 bucks off it. I had it on CL for 100 and had plenty of bites, but it seems Ebay is pulling in more money for Iphones right now.
