Ha! Sorry for my ignorance. So you boss just doesn't like you?

Anyway... putting together the slideshow could open up the company to some issues.

Well aware - and I ended up telling him so. We decided it best to just leave it alone and push people to the website to see the photos themselves.

And my boss likes nobody... save for flirtatious buxom females who feed his ego and leave the door wide open for sexual harassment cases.

Well... I figure if you took the photos yourself, then you wouldn't get paid anymore.

Can't blame a guy for liking flirtatious buxom females.

1.) It looks good on a resume and reviews. So yes, I technically would be getting paid more - just not immediate.
2.) No, can't blame someone for being attracted. But that doesn't hold up too well in court. ;)

Back to photography: Canon Refurb CLP can't process my order because my financial institution doesn't authorize $0.00 CC validations. Only amounts above $1.00 are authorized and Canon doesn't have control over how the transaction is put through. Therefore, I cannot order a Canon 7D Refurb for CLP.

Rainy days suck.

So if the total is $0.00, why do they have to process anything at all? I've never dealt with CLP, so I don't know how they operate, only to the point that you can exchange an old camera for a new. And they don't have the 5D Mark II...

Ken - They push the card through with a zero charge before doing a virtual swipe. The reason for this is to check if the card and billing address are physically valid. Once that is approved, the funds are requested and approved on a different swipe. The first swipe comes through with a $0.00 charge because they aren't attempting to secure funds.

And... they "have" the Mark II - just not available for the 20% discount. ;)

Nathan - My bank is Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union, who uses a third party for CC processing.

Oh, didn't know that... sounds confusing to me, but sucks anyway.

By the way... I work for Verizon... will try to stay out of the conversation here. However, 20DNewbie, which company were you actually with? Doesn't sound like you were actually with Verizon, but the company got acquired instead. MCI?

I was with Bell Atlantic when Verizon took them over and my $2.95 a month insurance carried over. The first time I had used the policy they had to get the manager to make sure what I was telling them was true, being none of them had ever seen it before. The manager said he hadn't seen it in years and to give me the next best thing for the $20.

It was about six months later the phone fell out of the holster and blew out the screen on that one. After having the experience with the new staff I went and signed a contract with AT&T at their store down the street within fifteen minutes. A month or so later I was at the mall in Kingston and the young lady that I knew from the previous location said hi and asked me if I was in need of paying my bill. I told her I had switched and what had led me to, she apologized for their rudeness and said she had been hearing the same from a lot of newly ex-Verizon customers.

Wow... you had a cell phone before 2000. Mergers and acquisitions can cause a lot of upset and confusion both for customers and employees who have to learn new, etc. Too bad that your experience has left a foul taste in your mouth with regard to all of Verizon's services.

I had my first mobile phone back in 1996 :D But they were decent back then in the UK, nice and small. Not those bricks with giant aerials to pick up any signals!!

Now, as for Verizon.....don't get me started on them!!

Hey, fair enough. Everyone has their own personal experiences and whereas I'd like to say Verizon provides excellent customer service all across the board... I can't justify your past experiences.

Anyway... back to photography... I'm not sure why Ken's so excited about an 8MP camera in an iPhone.

Yup, I'm old. So old my cell number area code is 617 and I'm down on the South Shore.

Imagine how giddy he would be with the 12MP Nokia N8.
