One more step down the automation ladder. I fully expect the next step to be automatic composition and phone alerts as to good photo opportunities.

interesting. I could see this being a very useful tool for people who are in the professional side of things, I don't think it'd have much use for an amateur though.

I found the comments more interesting than the article, as several people pointed out that other smartphones out there already do this. Granted Apples flow chart is probably way cooler.

Nikon had this with the J1; using the high speed electronic shutter, it would take 30 photos and provide 5 that the software felt were "the best," and give a stacked-view of them in the playback.
