Bart, those look really nice. I'd say the first one should have been a horizontal, with more frame to the left to avoid cutting off the foot. Nice rim light on the hair. Third one is my favorite.

Lots of changes in my life in the last year. I haven't been on here much, but I am always inspired by the work in this thread. Thanks for sharing everyone!

Here is one from the session I am working on at the moment.

I'll contribute with a few from last week. I'm not a fan of "the tracks", but the client asked.

Love the first two!

The composite looks strange to my taste. Why would she be in the blocks sideways? Looks like three ribbons and only one medal?

I could live with all of the above, but the hands being cropped kill it for me.

liking all of these the only nitpick i have on this one is the stray hairs that are distracting me off looking at here face.. and the few dust/dirt particles flying in the air next to her head.. other then that great set

I was going to clone out the strands and the dust. but..i though that it added to the rim light and the sharpness of the lens.

I guess I can ask the client what she wants. I typically clone that stuff out

I struggle with this often. I usually only have a couple of minutes to spend on a photo. It takes a long time to get rid of those hairs, and sometimes it looks worse to me after I am done. Of course I don't have a very high level of Ps skill. If I need to do something I will remove some of the worst ones and soften the others with a little blur.

They don't bother me in this picture.

I find that If I lower the flow and opacity to the clone stamp brush to around 25%, and zoom in close to do it so I'm not grabbing the wrong pixels, I have a high success rate.

stray hair are normally easy. especially the above photo. Here's how I do it.
in PS.. put a new (empty) layer above photo.
next grab the clone stamp with a large soft brush. (make sure you brush source is set to current and below)
use the section close the the head as the sample area and the clone right over her head.
now mask off the layer and get rid of the excess. easy peasy.

When I do this it looks like they are wearing a helmet. It is a very strange thing to describe, but it doesn't look natural. I do it with a very small brush one hair or group of hairs at a time. I would love to see some before and afters of this.

well, Im on my laptop tonight and wont be back to the studio until Monday, but I'll try tto reme, ber and post a few for you.

The trick is to find just the right soft/hard balance of you brush when doing the ,masking, and get in close if needed.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.
