This shot isn't lit the best and wasn't planned since we were pretty much done with the shooting, but when the girl saw the road she just had to have a shot with it. All I had with me besides my 24" softbox which I had been using was a spare flash which I tossed to her friend and said "point this at her head like you're going to shoot her". I fired off two shots and this is what the young lady wanted. I guess you never know what to expect sometimes.

Like it. sometime those OH oH OH moments are the best shots. My only nit pick is never shoot a girl straight on like this. I use this pose all the time and shoot subject off camera axis

I love the black and white one, looks almost like it was taken with an IR modified camera.

Care to share the bw conversion secrets? :D

This one was with silver efex, Not sure of the preset, but did some cranking around in there after. I really like the variety of starting options it gives you and the opportunity to fine tune until it pops. Needed to get those eyelashes popping!

I photographed my first male senior last week. It's hard to pick favorites.

I wish the rim lighting were less hot here but I don't think it ruins the image.

My 500w ringlight arrived today! I was using myself as a test subject *unsucessfully* and i noticed the lamp is very very bright, is there any tricks to help a client not get blinded by it during a session?

My latest senior - Miss Torrey. All shot with natural light (no reflectors or strobes) and my 200L and 85L prime lenses.

1 Torrey made this headdress herself and was so excited to incorporate it in her senior pics. I think she did a fabulous job!

Followed you on IG and love seeing your senior portraits. You make the open desert look great.
