Not sure if this is the right spot for this question or not, but I'm just curious what the general consensus is on the Seniors Ignite program and if their Monthly Spark is worth the $49/month? Thank you.

I think seniors insight is the biggest Con in the industry. You have all these people telling all the newbs the are making 1500.00 sales averages and promoting the dream over there. If you call them on it and start t question what they are doing yo will be attacked. Some of the sales tactics are in violation of child labor laws and they came up with some quick BS answers when I questioned them about this. I had a person in my area bragging about sales averages and knew she was lat out lying. Many over there have an agenda and are marketing to attract new photographers to sell them a ton a crap......kind of like PPA on steriods....total joke in my opinion.

Thanks Mike, that is the vibe I was getting too, but it's nice to have some confirmation.

I guess this is my only shot that qualifies as a senior shot :). Shot this in near darkness (iso 2000 on 35L at 1.4 and 1/30). This is my colleague's son and his girlfriend. Lit with a video light, and a speedlite held by my daughter behind them :).

I love all of them. The first one could use a little under eye retouch, and some subtle shaping.

One of my seniors who had a 'game face' image. She is a great athlete and just set a new state record in track. It is a composite with a (mild) HDR background.

I'm still working on getting this going in Canada and am starting to gain a bit of traction! Here's 4 from my last session. Can you please tell me how the WB is with these? I'm having some real issues with colour balancing my monitor right now and just can't tell if these are right or not.

I really like the b&w closeups!

When I was in high school in Canada *14 years ago* we did do senior pictures, but they were just a few shots taken in side after they finished photographing the rest of the students. Its a bit surprising that it hasnt really become as popular as it has in the states.

Thanks Gerry. Grad photos here are still pretty much the same. If they go to the big studio here they go through a series of rooms with different backgrounds. Interestingly it's the guys who are really into this as they find the other studio experience uncomfortable and awkward. Poses are the same for everyone and the newest "cool" innovation they had this past year were several different tones of monochrome. I'm trying to use the tag line "Be different."

for the girls you could spin it as "be a model for a day" instead of senior portraits which may confuse them. :) it also opens up other age groups in the school. Just a thought. :D
