I'm sure it must have been a bit fainter than predicted, because it was hard to pick up visually. To record it I set the 7D with 70-200/4L at 200mm, f/4, ISO3200, shooting a continuous series of 20-second exposures. Here I stacked 18 in DSS and cropped in quite a bit. It's fairly clumsy processing, but it's getting late here and I wanted to post one up quickly. Tracking errors on my makeshift driven mount are to blame for the slightly zig-zag track of the asteroid. At least I got it!

The bright star centre is 4 CVn, and I've picked up a galaxy NGC4449 over on the upper left.

Congrats Mark on the catch ! Had cloudy skies here and probably would have never seen it anyway since Southerners had the best viewing .
