I am trying to locate in the Internet the Printer Profiles por the EPSON Stylus R300, but so far I have not been lucky. Could you help me out with this?

Many time, a paper manufacturer will supply profiles for many printers for use with their specific papers.

Here's a page with a profile link for the R300 using Kodak paper:

If you're using a different paper, try looking on the paper maker's website . . . hopefully you can find one!

ArchesInfinity has a bunch of printer profiles for their papers.

Just click on Icc profiles -> Downloads

My recollection is that the Epson site has some good tutorials on the subject as well as links to other sites having profiles.

Thanks. Finally I installed the PIM plug-in that came with the original printer CD and the profiles appeared in the apropriate folder. I needed them to print my pictures from PS CS2. When I tried to locate them clicking the "Printer Profile" section in the Print with Preview dialog box, they weren't there. Now there they are and my prints begin to look better.
