I got to shoot the majority of warmups which helped a ton, I had a much better sense of the order of what was coming during the routines and was able to adjust before moments I wanted to capture happened. I also was able to fire off a handful of shots, see what my background was and reposition to get the background a little bit cleaner in the visually cluttered gym. I also let the ISO go a full stop higher and let it run in auto mode, let the exposure get set higher most of the time so I wasn't pulling it back up by stop, and my images have universal NR (luminance around 20 color around 50), but it's less than I've used in the past. On the back of the camera the use of TC producing f2.8 images looked ok, however on the computer they ended up about a full stop under and softer than I wanted so I think I know to skip that and crop as needed for tonight's meet (different school). Advice and critiques welcome, the above changes were made on what I've learned so far reading the boards here.
