Not a problem - instead of going to the Adobe Web Site to get v3.3 of the ACR, just get the 2.4 version. The one coming with PSCS was v 2.0 and you would like to have 2.4 because it supports DNG while 2.0 does not.

BTW, I finished my little experiment. The DNG files that I took to the basement (my PSCS v8.0 installation) loaded up in PSCS v8.0 fine (after I updated the ACR plug in to v2.4):D

That is one great advantage of this whole DNG concept, and that is that you can support your later cameras in PSCS by converting your newer version RAW files to DNG and then they will be readable in PSCS v8.0 instead of having to upgrade all of your PSCS installations to PSCS2.

I believe tyhat adobe introduced DNG as a general RAW format that they were hoping that all Camera will accept and use instead of having various different type of RAW formats floating around. Although I haven't try it myself it seems to be an interesting concept. Being able to pass DNG around and being able to view them with say Adobe Reader across both MAC & PC.

I don't think you meant Adobe Acrobat. I can assure you that even Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 will not open DNG files. Perhaps you meant Adobe Camera RAW:eek:
