Somehow, all my gear survived (plastic bags ftw!)
I think i need to invest in some good wet weather gear.

I love this sport because of the shots, and you did a great job, tell us which camera and lens did you use?

Canon 1D3 & 300/2.8

Fantastic shots! I actually always really enjoy shooting in the rain during the day (as long as it's not like a torrential downpour...) Always nice, soft light, and the rain often adds to the 'intensity' of the sport you are capturing. You get a little wet, but I'd take that over bright, harsh 12 oclock sun anyday.

I'm currently on my way to another game, & the forecast is for torrential rain.
I also like shooting in 'light' rain. The heavy stuff can sometimes ruin the pictures.
The best is backlit rain, with a darker background.
Should be fun !!

Great images, but why are the big boys using the Juniors boys ball (picture 4)?

I think it probably reads 'Souths Juniors', which is the name of the red/green club.
