OSX 10.4.4 update

the OSX 10.4.4 update is now available (external link). Aperture runs noticeably quicker on the PowerBook. I can't tell on the PowerMac as i'm on the road.
supposedly they have added new RAW support, but i don't see any mention specifically. the CoreImage enhancement is definitely worth the wait.

unrelated, but they've announced a new version of iPhoto (part of iLife 06). as i'll be in SFO at the end of next week, i'll pick up a family pack and try out the new features.
