I think the YN-468 or YN-565 will do this, but I don't know enough to know that for sure. What is the HSS on the 565 and what will it do for me? Are both of these good options for a first flash? Can they both function in an "auto" mode of sorts?

Can they both function in an "auto" mode of sorts? Thanks! all the ETTL flashes are "auto" if you mean that they automatically adjust the light output for the correct exposure.
