I didn't really think about it before I was too fascinated by the concept. But now that I think about it, it doesn't really add to the picture in any way. Maybe it's the vertical black branches which take away the attention, could have been better to move the camera a bit to the right to simulate a photo of a clearing in the forest where light would shine, that is if you want a wide shot.
