"I received a very short and crypted tip that Nikon will announce a new compact camera with 16.2 effective megapixels DX-sized CMOS sensor, fixed 28mm f/2.8 (or maybe even f/2.0) lens and EXPEED 2 image processing engine. "

Another let down then, and I am still counting the days untill that ever so elusive FF mirrorless shows up.

Canon and Nikon must be terrified of stepping on their own toes. :)

I Loved it until I saw the line:

"The dream camera: mockup of Nikon mirrorless camera based on the Fuji X100 done by a reader"

For DSLRs I really don't care for aesthetics, as long as it get's the job done.
But for a mirror-less I'd like it to at least look good, especially for what they cost.
I don't care too much for the V/J look.
