Hi, I just recently signed up to the forum although I have been reading through the 550D users threads. I have had my 550d for about 3 days now and just starting to get to grips with it and must say that it's a superb 1st DSLR for me.

It has been a good few years since I last used a SLR camera, my 1st being a Canon EOS 650 (35mm film) which I still have. There is no doubt that this will be a big learning curve for me as I have forgotten most of what I had learned back in those days.

Since using the 550d I have been using the camera in AV mode just to reaquaint myself with what the aperture settings do and DoF etc.

I have to say that there are some very talented people in this thread and I can only hope to produce anything half as good as I have seen here. My Flikr account is being populated with photographs as I type, which I will share and welcome any C&C.

Indeed 550D is a good camera that can produce amazing pictures. We hope to see some of your work soon.

If I didn't take these, I would say there were photoshopped. But, I did take them and I don't own PS...only processed in LR

excellent shaprness on 2 and vibrant colors.. very cool

Almost never shoot with the t2i anymore. It has to be one of the lowest shutter count t2i bodies out there. But I did manage to dig it out for a few pre-Easter shots today.

A few shots taken with the t2i/Canon 50 f/1.4/Schnieder Vari-ND/Mettle 600ws/Interfit 27" BeautyDish combo.
