Can I get a C&C a response on my editing skills. I got caught up at work and got to the spot I wanted to scout really late. This is about an hour later than I wanted to be there, so naturally the images are really dark. I shot it with an 8" shutter on a tripod. The flare from the headlight I know and wouldn't be there if I was actually shooting. So ignore that, but the rest is fair game.

This is my gir's car, and not the car I'll actually be shooting with.

idk man i like the original shot.. id just increase some brightness exposure or fill light to put some life to it.. i see that you changed the temp and i see alot of green in the edited one.. not sure exactly what you are going for

i gave it a try to my liking

I was just messing around in post really, but now that you pointed it out, I do see how the temperature change cause a lot of green to be amplified, and DT, I like yours better. I did make the edits after an 8 hour shift at work, so probably not the best frame of mind to be working in post. Also, it was shot in RAW. I was just trying to get an idea where to put the car within the location, and how to work with my flash versus the under bridge lighting.

Thanks for the input though!

I couldn't come up with a clever title or caption. I do feel that the shot can speak for itself though.

No that's not it.. My personal preference IS to shoot RAW but as I was hired by another photographer he told me he wanted them in jpeg.. So I had to do what he wanted or he would not pay me. Lol this past event I was hired by a DJ who was hosting the sweet16 for the young lady in the turquoise dress and he asked me to shoot all images in RAW.

But as for me and my personal images are shot 100% in raw..

Comparing the two images after editing, wich they were under very similar light conditions, I was able to do a better job on the girl in the turquoise dress...

IMAGE: http://i39.tinypic.com/2u5aohc.jpg

This one I have trouble adjusting the WB as it was shot in jpeg originally an as we know everything is already inbeded in to the image by the camera..

Oh that's good to hear, considering how great your images usually look I would be very surprised if you shot RAW! LOL. You would think the client would want you to shoot RAW so you could get the most out of the images!

^^^Nice set DT!

Was driving around town on Saturday night and saw one of those 'travelling' fairs setup in one of the local retail parking lots. Fortunately, I had my tripod in the car and decided to stop and try my luck. Considering the space was limited and tough to get proper angle and colors weren't all that great, pretty happy with what I had to work with.
The local fair...
