New 1DS MKII and it's dark. What to do?

Well... I reckon it's time to see what this baby's got... and I'm impressed...

Orion at 70mm F2.8 Shot off a tripod, unguided, f2.8, P mode :o , iso 1600. Had to do some post processing. Could still use a little more. This is a "thumbnail" (800 x 800). I don't think that I can link the original.

The moon. I used something called the fX system. It usually gives good results. Some post processing was required but not much

First shot is really cool, I'd crop the moon shot a bit so its bigger. What the heck is the FX system?

I agree. I was just diddling so I didn't get too excited about it.

It's a system whereby you calculate the exposure settings based on the apparent luminosity of an object. Works good for eclipses, moon, comets, solar (thru dark filter of course)...
