Usually, I'm a portrait guy, but I had to be in Birmingham, AL with my mother at the doc. While she was in I went out and shot. I've never really done this before, but I was quite happy with the results. My goal was to take as few shots as possible. I ended up shooting about 8 files. Two really sucked, and the other two were too much the same as some of these so I ditched them. I was quite happy with that ratio. I would love some other thoughts. To get it out of the way, I realize that the line going through the construction worker sucks. I almost kicked it out, but I liked the other elements in the image enough to keep it.

I like the blurred bike shot. Very nice. Also, I think you could clone out the line in the worker shot. Get that cloned out, and its a cool shot. Would look good in a high contrast black and white also, I think. I like the steam rising in the BG. Good use of your time. Beats sitting in the lobby with the sick people.
