I'm glad you think it's a step up from the standard kit lens because I just ordered this lens today to replace the kit lens for my canon 60D. Expecting delivery to tomorrow.

You'll like it. It's my favorite walk-around lens. It has great close up capabilities.

Hi guys. I bought this lens 2 days ago :) but I have canon 1100D and I have to change body as well. I have a feeling that this body doesn't work very well with this lens, or meaby its just my felling...

I agree. I took this picture as soon as I got the lens its only about 3-4 inches away. I might just have to get rid of my dedicated macro lens now.

I'm not sure why you think you need to change to a different body to use this lens. It should work just fine. ;-)a

No need to change bodies. This lens is designed for crop sensor cameras. It's the reason I got mine for my 60D

Got this lens last week and went out today and to test it...after spending the entire day adjust the AF array module (not AF tuning setting) on my Nikon D7000...to get AF sharpest even at the outer AF points. This shot was taken at 26mm f3.2. What corner softness??? :) :) At f8, the shot didn't get any more sharper fyi. Follow the flickr link and to see the uncropped, full size shot.

I switched to Nikon and have a D3300 now, but picked up this lens on a trade and really am impressed by it. I probably only have $100 in it considering what I traded.
