Not sure how long this freebie will last. Has a 4+ rating out of 5 @ 1146 reviews.

Fast Camera (external link) by i4software.

I can't vouch for this App, but from what I understand you can also control your aperture and why I grabbed it tonight.

Enjoy

Just paid $.99 for it and installed it on my iPhone 5. Clicked the + symbol and got locked in that screen - couldn't get back to the camera (there was no back button). I rebooted my phone, launched the app, now it's stuck in the review screen. Is this software just crap?

Works great for me (also iPhone 5). Beware that you can take a crap load of photos really fast if you set it to the max - could you be out of memory?

Scobals,
I did say "I can't vouch for this App" and although I have no affiliation with the developer, I was the OP and feel a bit guilty. Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll be happy to Gift you a .99 App of your choosing. Sorry about the trouble.

Ynot,

thanks for the offer but that is definitely not necessary. I'll play with it for a while and see if I can get it to work. Who knows, if there really are bugs there may be an update soon that will fix them.

I may also be the only one having difficulty with the app.

Thanks again :)

No, I'm not out of memory. I'll keep playing with it. Anyone else have any issues like this?

The problems I'm having is mainly with the "Targets". Most of the time they're non-responsive in that they stick and won't move around and the locks won't lock or once locked, won't unlock.

I did have a Memory warning pop up yesterday. I had just deleted about 20 images when it happened. Their was no way I was out of memory, I had 14.5GB left out of 64 on my 4S, go figure. My only other complaint is the fact that the App, when first installed, starts up with Burst as the default and set to 1000 images. I was rather frazzled when I first opened it hitting every button to make it stop. I'm surprised I didn't drop my phone fumbling around with it like a hot potato. It's like opening your new cars doors for the first time and the horn, wipers, lights, radio and engine suddenly go on and off for no apparent reason. Dumb move on the developers part and can see this only causing problems.

A couple features I do like, "Select All" used when deleting images (wish I had this feature in other Apps like Mail, grrrrr) and that it seems to focus faster than my other camera Apps and stay sharp longer before drifting. If I could get the lock to work, more responsively, that feature would be perfect. For now though, while waiting for an update, I'll stick with "Camera Awesome" that can also fire fast enough in Fast Burst mode. This App I can vouch for and love it.
