It was an early thing with DVD that some DVD copies didn't read on all other drives.
I still see this issue every now and again.

I liked to hear both or all opinions (I love pain) on the subject. Most of my backups are on HDD's some on DVD's that need to be put on a HDD. I do like the idea of having both HDD and DVD/Blu Ray as backups. Seeing as I seem to crash my computers and/or drives too often and don't always get everything back on the new computer or HDD. Remember, Stressed spelled backward is Desserts.
