Nice shots Gerard! IMHO I think they would look nicer with a more rectangular crop, with a little space for the bird to fly into. I think it works better for BIFs when you catch them flying across the frame. Coming straight at you a square crop works. :)

Thanks Craig; it's actually a 5 X 4 crop, I wanted to get a little closer to the birds. I will try one in 4 X 6, see how it changes the look of the pic.

For sure they are difficult! Shot handheld at 400/500 mm, lots of misses, few keepers :oops:
