I have a 300d w/vertical grip, and love the size and grip. I've used both the 350d and 20d...I really don't much care for the extra 2mp, its nice, but nothing a good lens won't take care of. Now, I see BHphoto still has some new 10d's for sale for $799, but also they have 350d's for like $715. I have a buyer for my 300d ($500), and after I buy my new lens with sale of camera would leave me around ~$1,000. I hate the loading times of the 300d, and looks like the 10d has about the same problem. The 350d is fast like the 20d, but doesn't have the "pro" dials and settings of the 10d. I've heard that the 350d feels nice with the batterypack, which I would get for any camera I got.... Of course the best thing would get a 20d, but thats a bit more then I want to spend. I like to shoot RAW, and the 10d burts 9 frames, the 350d does ~5 frames, but with the faster processor, you could be realy for another burt fast with the 350d....Anyway, what do people think? Its a jumble of technicals and personal experience and its late! Will the upcoming 30d knock the 20d down fast? Motorsport season for me isn't till ~may, could I possibly get a 20d for $1K by then? haha opinions? :D

I think you should save up for the 20D, given you want the dial and the fast operation.

Wait until the 20D gets replaced and the prices drop dramatically. I don't think the 10D is a good buy over a cheaper and in many ways superior 350D. This has been debated many times over, try searching for 350D v 10D and similar. There are loads of threads on this.

As well as the pixel count, the 350 has three years of improvement in noise algorithms and processing over the 10.
Ideally, wait for PMA at the end of Feb. Even if you decide not to save/wait for the 20D replacement announced then, the 20D itself is bound to drop in price as a consequence.
