Supposed to leave for Vegas on Sunday. In preperation I ordered a few things last minute from suppliers who claimed I would have delivery in time.

Two day shipping from amazon on some lens wipes and cleaning fluid. Ordered yesterday morning and still not shipped. Showing a delivery estimate of Friday. I'm guessing I'll get one day service.

Adorama was supposed to send me an organizer (1519) for a 1510 Pelican case. Got the tracking number yesterday. Well apparently someone F&^@&%#&*%^ up when they shipped it because UPS did an address exception and rescheduled my delivery until Tuesday. What really peeves me off is that my shipping address is correct in their system when I go in the order screen, but on the shipping info for that order, they replaced my zip code with my state! Says OH OH USA. WTF... I wanted it for my trip and really have little use for it otherwise until a next vacation.

And after a conversation with Adorama, they say that it is shipped exactly how the order was placed and there is nothing they can do. To order another to arrive here tomorrow would cost me $30 shipping. Go figure.

Usually Amazon is pretty good about shipping policies; if you call them. Same thing happened to me, and they refunded me and then sent me the items I ordered anyway (albeit, quite a bit after I needed them).

I wanted to post an update and say all ended well.

Friday afternoon I noticed that UPS had gotten it into my local hub so I called UPS and after speaking with several different people over a few phone calls, I found one who was willing to put in a request for same day pickup at the hub. It wasn't ready Friday but they were open for three hours Saturday which I took advantage of. I got my order and am very happy I did as it really helped keep everything where it needed to be.

What I still don't understand is how an order goes from having a zip code attached in the order process to suddenly being stripped out once the order is placed. I've done a half dozen mock orders with each going to the final order screen and each time it shows my address in it's entirety. For some reason hitting the order button made the zip code disappear. Next order will be a Sigma 35 and I'll most likely e-mail that one in so it can be pre-checked for focus issues.
