Any low light performance gained?

Thank you. I always offer to take people's raw images at high ISOs to see what I can suggest to them going forward, and how to best process them. Kinda of a side hobby, I guess! :)

I will probably end up with a 1DX, but I really like the 1.3 crop. I sold my 1D4, and await the pending price drop and will probably pick one up again later.

Just to show you that regardless of how anal photographers can be with their shots, this was a casual ISO 12800 shot that had a lot of grain, etc, and per some members, this wouldn't very desirable to banding and noise, however it is now a 13x19 poster print in a restaurant, and I am working out a contract to supply all their restaurants with pictures of their entrees. Sometimes photographers can OCD themselves right out of good opportunities. ;)

I love low light capabilities of cameras, the 1D4 was a dream to work with, but sometimes, it may make sense to make sure you have done all you can do with the equipment you have. It will only help you later when you do actually upgrade too. What you learn on a crop body certainly can reward you on a new FF.
