Got some nasty chromatic aberration on my new 50 1.4 lens

Just received my new lens, and when I shot a few pics outside, I noticed some bad chromatic aberration.....

Here is a few files!

What aperture? That lens is notoriously ugly from f/1.4-f/2.0

Looks wide open and you're shooting white snow/sky on dark branches...

Not sure if it's any worse than the standard for this lens, especially if it was shot at f/1.4. Dark branches against a snowy, bright white background is basically the ultimate torture test for CA. Easily, quickly, and effectively correctable in Lightroom.

Literally 3 seconds of editing in Lightroom....

50mm f/1.4 is a prime candidate for a "II" version in my opinion.

Yes it has snow, and sun, and some cold weather, I sent a few pics to the store I bought it, i'm sure they will say it's fine

Yep, I think so too, gee, my 40 mm 2.8 does'nt have this defect, hopefully there is a way to fix it in Lightroom!

Otoh you can try fixing it in LR.

The only thing I can't seem to have work is to remove CA on lightroom, apart from that I do great, I'll find out!

I have a 40mm lens 2.8, I wonder if I should return the 50 1.4 since it's only good at 2.8

The 50 1.4 is not very good at CA. In addition, the autofocus mechanism leaves a lot to be desired. Canon should make a mk II of this lens.

50D, T3 (still in the family, but given to my sister), T3i 18-55mm IS II, 50mm 1.8 II, 55-250mm IS II, 75-300mm III, 28-135mm IS USM. 430 EX II, 550 EX, YN-560 II

Mines the same way, luckily it's easy to clean up with DPP or PS/LR.
