I remember I have read somewhere of the same problem, can not find that post anywhere, reason I am posting here to check against other 1DX camera owners, please reply if yes or no.

When looking through viewfinder, the focusing screen has a circle and inside it is the focusing confirmation square which in my case is off center to the left. Have replaced the focusing screens twice with different screens and the problem is consistent. If you have a Canon 1DX can you check please and reply how is your setup? Should I shake the camera to get the square to fall into place :), should live with it or call Canon and send it back? The camera was bought from B&H recently and wonder if I should return it.

Have made a rendition of the problem to help visualize the off center location.

Just looked on mine and it's very slightly off centre - in fact the circle is not quite in the centre of the whole AF point array. It's only out by a tiny amount and I never would have noticed if I hadn't read your post....

Is your sketch exaggerated or to scale? Mine is nowhere near as off centre as your sketch...

The schetch is not exagerated, is very close to real thing, then again did not measure, no way to do it.

I just checked mine - the centre focus conf. square is dead centre to the circle, and the smaller squares are perfectly symmetrical as well.

Sorry, mine is also dead centre - I must have been looking not quite straight into the viewfinder before. The circle and the focus points are on different planes so if you're not looking right in the centre of the viewfinder they won't quite line up.

Here's a photo of mine if it helps...

Guys, you are lucky....Canon Inc. said that yes, indeed some are off center and I could send the camere to them to fix it...Is going back for refund. Also have discovered DEAD pixels, some look WHITE like X and some are BLUE or RED in color. What a bummer...
