Very cool. Gotta love the entrepreneurial spirit.

It would be nice if they had a version to fire the Paul C. Buff Cybersync receivers. Maybe not much demand for that in Europe.

Sekonic are owned by MAC.

MAC instructed Phottix to cease making PW compatible triggers because they were frightened of the bottom falling out of their entire business model.

What difference is there between preventing Phottix making triggers that are compatible with PW from this company's modules that make Sekonic meters compatible with other makers?

Sekonic is not "owned by MAC".

MAC distributes the Sekonic line in the USA and possibly some other locations. MAC also distributes other lines of photographic gear, like Pocket Wizards (LPA is the company that owns Pocket Wizards).

Sekonic is a separate Japanese company. Pocket Wizard is a separate USA company. MAC is a separate USA company.

I thought after I wrote it that they were distributors, rather than owners. Apologies for the confusion.

a total mystery how to order these things. Posted an invoice request on that linked forum to no avail.

No need for the cord or the spiffy new transmitter module.

The Sekonic meters, like most good quality meters, have a "wait for flash mode" for cordless operation.

Just set the meter to that mode (no cord attached) and hit the testy button on the Skyport transmitter on you camera.

Would be good if they somehow can trigger Phottix Odin & Canon RT system.

Oh Yeah. Be nice to for my L-358 to work with the new Canon RT system. I called Sekonic. They said there were no plans to develop a Canon friendly RT module.
