Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to get good photo print 4x6 or 5x7 size.. And from where? In the desktop, it looks very good.. But when I took the print from Walmart and cvs it looks very orange yellowish color which I am not satisfied..

Thanks,

I had the same problem with Kinkos. I learned the cheapo consumer printers are meant for those who just print straight from camera without using calibrated displays and tweaking the colors. They tended to auto warm and sharpen the photos.

Any print shop that gives you an option to print without altering your file is going to be better. Beyond that, there are many online shops used by many of the users here. I personally use bayphoto. I haven't really tried any others, but the prints come pretty close to my calibrated monitor.

As far as a local option, Costco is pretty much the most highly recommended. You need to be a member but if there is one close by their prices are very low, they have good equipment, and have a good reputation for providing a good, knowlegeable staff.

The also let you order online and pick up prints in a very timely way.

But, they have one optiion that you should know about: Tell them to turn off auto correction!

Your common kiosk/One Hour Photo places tyically have some kind of auto-correction for, well, folks that want to do One Hour Photo. If you are at all picky about your colors, well, prepare to embark into the world of Color Management! Chack out these two "sticky" threads:
