I am running low on ideas on this cold wintery day. As a result, I lined up my watch to try a product-promotion style photo.

Outside of a having better watch, I am looking for your feedback on how the photo could be improved.

Thanks for looking.

In this case I find the red pillow too distracting/overpowering from the watch. I think there is too much space on the right side of the image as well. (I really like the way the red on the left side of the watch looks though....darker than on the right side and not so overwhelming). Also, I think a slightly different angle would bring more dynamics to the picture. The watch being so squared in the image leaves it feeling a little static.
Nice watch though!

Typically on a watch product shot, the hands are lined up at ten minutes until two. It usually allows the most watch dial to be seen as well as framing the watch manufacturer. I've seen it described as a 'smile' and may be one of those subliminal things. -? It does not always work especially in a style of watch like yours. The subdials may still be partially blocked.

As was suggested above, maybe center the watch on the cushion and still leave the Swiss Legend name visible. A different angle to show off the canteen stem cover?

A lot of good examples here.

Thanks for the feedback. I am interested in hearing more suggestions as well, as I enjoy trying to figure out how to get the most out of the cold days.

Here are two more, trying to bring in some of the suggestions above:

EDIT: I found it very difficult to find a good position for the hands due to all the sub-dials, logos, etc on the face. Then, with the crown out to keep the watch stationary, I was not able to get the canteen cover back in place. I got frustrated and just let the hands do what they would.

I'm guessing thats a lock on the crown?
I was going to suggest an angle to bring focus to it but you beat me by 20 minutes.
I like the first on of the 2nd batch.

The canteen cap is simply a protective cover for the crown.
