What kind of website?

#1: Clean the board. The sand on the board wouldn't have been a problem for me is she was dressed up in a wet suit, but she's not and the sandy board looks out of context to me. Also, I know it's who she is, but I would clone out the tongue ring as I find it quite distracting. I like the sunlight coming from behind her but it creates a need for some fill light on her face IMO. Good job not blowing out the sky.

#2: Looks snapshotish. I think if you're going to incooporate the surf boards don't cut them off. That, to me anyway, make these look like snapshots from a PnS. Harsh light is giving you some hard shadows. The posing isn't working for me either. Again, I don't know what the purpose of the website is, but from this image I'm assuming they're musicians, but I don't think this one showcases that very well. It feels more like they were just playing on the beach and you happen to have a camera and took s quick snapshot. The background is a little cluttered as well IMO.

#3: Rock solid DOF fo as narrow as it is but unless the two braclets have some speacial meaning I'm not seeing the point of this one. There's just not enough to keep my eye interested. The harsh light works best on this one though. The creamy bokeh is nice, and I like that I can still make out what's going on in the background. Might think about dropping doing a littel selective burning on the board just to bring it down a bit, but not too much.

Take my critques with a grain of salt. If they were happy with them, genuinely happy, then you did what you set out to do.

I agree with rivas8409, generally, and also wanted to mention something about the third shot. Right now, the in-focus point of interest and OOF point of interest are at opposite sides of the frame. I would have stepped to the left either a little (to put them closer together) or a lot (to put the surfer on the left, walking toward the bracelets), because right now the composition is kind of jarring to me.

Thank you both for your constructive input, it's nice to here other people's opinions on composition, lighting and content all with little or no info on what the aims of the shots were.
I agree with most of them and can say that you both explained yourselves very well.

The task was to get shots of a beach lifestyle, including some clothing and accessories mainly T Shirts, bracelets, ornaments. The weather was very clear sunny skies but with a bitterly cold February wind.
Everyone who took part was doing this for the first time.

It does seem very strange that they are just carrying around their board for obviously no reason since its clear they have no intention of going in the water..like they brought their surfboards to the beach to pose and play guitar.
