Fairly new to photography still. Started shooting last July. Since then I've mostly shot wildlife and nature. I really want to start shooting more people. These pics of my nephew are basically snap shots from his last visit. So it was nothing formal. Looking for critiques on processing and whatever else jumps out at you.

The processing doesn't really work for me. I'm more a fan of natural looking skin tones. How did these look with an accurate WB?

The second image is much better - largely in part because of the lighting! Lighting is everything - the first photo his eyes are blackened and there are harsh shadows because of the lighting situation. In the second photo, it's much more clear. Hope that helps! Processing and post-production work always takes time, finding filters that work for you is a process.

focus seems good, love the drool, WB def off...

LOVe the first one, but not the processing as mentioned. either B&W or color natural. Sweet face.

More depth of field needed here, and there might also be a bit of distortion going on here making the baby's face look a little odd here.
