Shot from a few years ago that I re edited for color.

It looks overly sharpened to me. My Post processing Sharpening exporting in Lightroom was set to low. Thoughts. I would have loved to get more (any) detail out of the trees on the right but they were too under exposed

Love the colors. Critique wise I would say, that I am not a fan of house's roof lining up with mountain's core - this makes to loose perspective a bit and creates the mess.

Light on that house must've been gorgeous.

I'd wager the edit might be a bit of a disservice. I'd guess the image was a bit more compelling with more colors? The monochrome kind of flattens everything, at least for me.

This is my thinking as well.

I like the shot and agree it would be nice to see in full color.

The light is very flat and I'm not a fan of the color added for the duotone. There is a speck of dust from a dirty sensor also.

Thanks. The compostition i agree is not perfect. I actually stumbled upon the barn that morning scrambling to find a place to shoot the sunrise. And there were probably a dozen other photogs there that had taken better vantage points in front of the barn.

I think the monochrome look has a very cool place for mountain shots. I think had it been cloudy or the weather been kind of ominous this effect would have been more appropriate. I was just having fun re editing old shots.

Here is a colorful shot.

Sorry I attached and didn't host it. I didn't realize the quality would break down that much

Yes! This is already much better. I feel like I can see the tops of those other photographers right past the first section of grass, but maybe I'm imagining it after you said they were there, haha.

No they were all to the left of me and with a fence and road all the in mix it was difficult to get a position that didn't leave the barn in line with the mountains like that. It was pretty funny though because I had no idea where this barn was but had seen it in shots before and I literally stumbled upon it at six in the morning while the sun was rising.

Hazy day...not the best for photos. Also perhaps a bit too late. This location often benefits from clouds and weather - especially at that time of year.

The color of the light is good. The quality of it less so.

I've been told that is the most photographed barn in the country......

It's a beautiful place and I don't think you are doing it justice in any of your images. Your color version seems very heavy.
