Hello all, Yesterday I borrowed my dad's 7D, 100-400L, and 580EXII, (My 60D is not sharp, flash was at home, and I wondered if my 100-400 is as good) and tried a few bird shots. I probably was only out an hour, and I fell in love with that camera!
I tried some different things with it than normal, too.
I was too far away to get a usable crop on this sparrow, so I tried a rule-of-thirds landscape:

I am not sure if I like the original, the 16x9 crop, or the original aspect ratio crop better.

I tried to get him in flight, and thought I had failed miserably... until I got home and found this one: It may not be perfect, but it is one of the first good BIF's that I have captured.
