Here's another recent assortment from the SX50. These were all shot hand-held in Manual mode at or near maximum optical focal length.

The RAW shots were converted and minimally developed in DPP (which is included with the camera but I'd never used it before), and all were finished in Photoshop as usual. I hope to try some other converter software with the camera soon, so any comments or suggestions on the processing of these would be appreciated. I've just posted a brief blog article with some initial impressions of shooting the SX50 in RAW which may be of interest to some:

I haven't reached your level of proficiency Kenn, but I am amazed at what this camera has shown me so far. If I could only have a day of sunlight and no wind, who knows what I can do with it.

Kenn, you always have amazing photos, regardless of the camera or software used. I'm beginning to suspect there is underlying skill there.:lol:

Amazing shots. In some of those every single feather has crystal clear detail. Brilliant.

@Kenn3d
BeJESUS, if you tell me that this pics were a result of 80% camera and 20% shooter skill I will definitely add this on my wishlist,,,, please tell me I'm wrong. Who would need a TC and expensive zooms.

Beautiful, beautiful set. And so sharp.
At double the cost, I don't think I can ever get these kind of photos with my 550D and 55-250.

I also just go my SX50 two week ago, and love it for the size although focus speed is slow.

In good light condition, the camera delivers the good picture quality.

Super series once again Kenn. You're one heck of a promo shooter for that camera. Your processing looks great, nice and sharp but not over sharpened.
