This pic was taken about 7 years ago in the Experimental Farm on Fisher Ave(near baseline) in Ottawa. Yes the lens was dirty.

I was looking at him on the roof of the smaller highrise and he then flew towards me and turned towards the middle of the field. As I followed him I was wondering what he was doing until I snapped this pic.

The pigeon did get away.

Trust me, it's a Red Tail. It's a regular visitor in the neighbourhood and I've got other shots of it. It had actually landed on my apartment balcony one day and I didn't realize why until it flew off and I saw the pigeon in the corner.

I wouldn't mind seeing another photo or two of the bird. I say this because I know how a single photo can be tricky or misleading and it would be a good example of that....cool photo by the way
