Look nice.
coming up in a boat must make it a bit easier to get a shot.
Good luck this trip!

Thanks, and yes they dont pay that much attention to you as long as you go slow. Was up on the silver river last year and had several barred owls calling back and forth at noon couple of them were right at the rivers edge so we got some clear shots. The monkeys were the big hit, sat for a couple hours getting some shots. At least everything in florida seems to ignore you in a kayak. Ohio is just the opposite herons and egrets very timid.

Ive thought about a small boat of some kind but I dont think it would work well here. AZ is pretty strict about their rules, plus I shoot mostly at wetlands that are artificial. Kind of like reclaimed water wetlands. I probably wouldnt be allowed to put a small boat into them.

I have 6 different kayaks Iuse for different waters. We have some wetlands here and I use a 8 foot otter it works great and you can get around in 6 inches of water.

Very nice series Ron . Isnt it cool when Barred Owls are talking back and forth?, specially in the middle of the day.
