This one was very willing to just sit there while I moved as close as 40 feet.

Excellent shot. Not too often I see "very willing" and "sit there" in the same sentence when talking about kingfishers!

The only time I have ever gotten that close to one of them, is when they buzz me at about 60, going the other way. Nice shot.

Great shot, all I seem to be able to get are tail feathers and a laugh ( at me) as they fly off.
